Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER RN) - Simi Valley, CA

Schedule/Hours:

• 36/48-hour shifts
• Day schedule

Requirements:

• Active California RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (current and valid)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (NIHSS)
• Proficient with Cerner electronic medical records and required experience with EPIC system
• Significant previous experience in Emergency Room nursing
• Adaptability and proven success working in a fast-paced clinical setting

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive direct patient care to individuals presenting with acute illnesses and traumatic injuries
• Monitor and interpret diagnostic tests, initiate emergency interventions, and provide timely, professional patient assessments
• Work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare teams to establish treatment priorities and coordinate care
• Educate patients and their families regarding diagnosis, procedures, and discharge planning
• Accurately document all care delivered and ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, using clinical judgment and advanced interventions
