Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER RN) - Simi Valley, California

Schedule/Hours:

• Shifts include 36/48 hour options each week
• Mid shifts with 9:00 am and 11:00 am start times
• No holiday requested time off (RTO) approved

Qualifications:

• Valid, unrestricted California RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
• Significant experience in emergency room care (RN-ER)
• Proficiency in both Cerner (strong experience required) and EPIC electronic health records
• Ability to work efficiently in high-stress situations and adapt to rapidly changing circumstances
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with a variety of urgent medical conditions
• Quickly assess and triage incoming patients to prioritize care based on acuity
• Document patient information accurately using both Cerner and EPIC systems
• Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary team members
• Respond to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions as necessary
• Evaluate patient progress and update care plans accordingly while maintaining clear communication with families
• Adhere to all hospital policies and regulatory standards for safety and patient care
