Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER RN) - Sturtevant, WI

Exciting opportunity available for a Registered Nurse with specialized experience in emergency care. This contract position is based in a dynamic emergency department and is ideal for experienced nurses ready to deliver high-quality, compassionate care during nighttime hours.

Schedule:

• 12-hour night shifts (36 hours per week)
• Shift hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday responsibilities
• No on-call or call back obligations
• No floating to other units

Qualifications:

• Active RN license, with strong standing and credentials
• Minimum of one year recent experience as an RN in an Emergency Room setting
• BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications preferred
• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
• Professional communication abilities and teamwork mindset
• Adaptable in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Ability to remain calm and effective in urgent situations

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care in the ER
• Triage, assess, and monitor patients with a broad spectrum of conditions
• Collaborate with physicians, ancillary staff, and patient families
• Accurately document care and interventions
• Assist with rapid response and trauma protocols as needed
• Follow hospital policies, safety guidelines, and infection control standards
