Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER RN) - Sylmar, CA

Schedule

• 13-week contract assignment
• 36/48-hour workweeks, mid shifts
• 9:00 am and 11:00 am start times
• No holiday requested time off will be approved

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Active, unrestricted RN license in California
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
• Previous experience as an RN in an emergency room required
• Strong experience with Cerner electronic medical record systems is necessary
• Additional proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record systems required
• Excellent assessment, triage, and crisis management skills
• Adaptable and able to work efficiently in a dynamic, high-acuity environment

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with urgent and potentially life-threatening conditions
• Triage and prioritize incoming patients based on clinical status
• Administer medications, initiate IVs, and provide advanced interventions as needed
• Document all care accurately using Cerner and EPIC systems
• Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and allied health professionals
• Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and self-care post-discharge

$2,322 - $2,448/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
