Registered Nurse - Emergency Room in Torrance, CA

Deliver expert emergency nursing care in a dynamic hospital setting on a 13-week assignment. Schedule & Hours:

• Evening shifts
• Options for 36 or 48 hours per week
• No holiday RTO will be approved

Qualifications:

• Current California RN license (unencumbered)
• Active certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NIHSS
• At least 1-2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience required
• Proficient in Epic electronic health record documentation
• Strong clinical assessment, triage, and crisis management skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care for various emergent conditions in accordance with best nursing practices
• Rapidly assess, prioritize, and stabilize patients using critical thinking and advanced clinical judgment
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, case managers, and ancillary personnel
• Deliver comprehensive patient and family education during acute episodes of care
• Accurately document clinical interventions and responses in Epic EHR
• Maintain high standards of infection control, safety, and compliance with healthcare regulations
• Support overall patient flow, including assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed in the ER
