Registered Nurse - Emergency Room in Utica, NY

Key Qualifications:

• Current, unrestricted RN license
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in an Emergency Room or Emergency Department setting
• Strong assessment, triage, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to respond effectively in high-stress, rapidly changing situations
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems

Primary Responsibilities:

• Rapidly assess and prioritize patient needs in the ER
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and procedures
• Collaborate closely with providers, techs, and other clinical staff to coordinate care
• Communicate effectively with patients and families, providing updates and education as needed
• Perform ongoing monitoring, evaluation, and documentation of patient status
• Maintain accurate, timely medical records per facility standards
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures at all times
