Registered Nurse - Emergency Room in Van Nuys, CA

This contract role requires a compassionate and resourceful Registered Nurse specializing in emergency room care. You'll leverage your clinical expertise and your strong background in Cerner and EPIC to help deliver top-tier patient services and maintain seamless clinical operations.

Schedule:

• 13-week assignment
• 36/48 hour mid shifts per week
• 9am and 11am start times
• Please note: No holiday requested time off will be approved

Required Qualifications:

• Active California RN license
• Minimum certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Demonstrated proficiency using Cerner (strong experience required)
• EPIC experience required
• Previous experience in a high-acuity, fast-paced ER environment
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Triage and evaluate patients in the emergency department, coordinating rapid interventions as necessary
• Administer medications, implement physician orders, and monitor patient responses
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
• Document all care and patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (Cerner & EPIC)
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment, procedures, and emergency interventions
