(RN) Registered Nurse - Emergency Room | Watertown, New York

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with specialized experience in the Emergency Room (ER) to provide essential patient care in a dynamic, fast-paced healthcare environment. This contract role requires a professional who is adept at rapid patient assessment, prioritization, and can respond quickly to evolving patient needs.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room, including comprehensive assessment, monitoring, and documentation
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to implement treatment plans
• Administer medications, IVs, and other interventions according to protocols
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure thorough documentation
• Quickly respond to acute changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
• Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families
• Adhere to all hospital and regulatory standards to ensure patient safety and confidentiality

Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of one year of recent experience as an ER nurse or RN in an Emergency Room setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (other certifications may be required, depending on facility protocols)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal abilities
