(RN) Registered Nurse - Emergency Room | West Hartford, Connecticut

Schedule/Hours:

• Days position with two available shifts: 6:00 am–2:30 pm or 7:00 am–3:30 pm
• Call rotation includes:
  • One weekday on-call shift (3:30 pm–7:00 pm)
  • One weekend on-call every four weeks (7:00 am–7:00 pm)

Qualifications:

• Current, active RN license with significant experience in Emergency Room (ER) nursing
• Certification from NMTCB or ARRT(N) is required
• Exceptional clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proven ability to remain composed and responsive in high-acuity situations
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to support patients and collaborate with the healthcare team
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to diverse patients presenting for emergency medical services
• Execute precise assessments, triage incoming cases, and promptly implement physician-directed treatments
• Accurately document care, interventions, and outcomes to ensure seamless patient handoffs
• Utilize advanced nursing skills and up-to-date clinical standards to support positive patient outcomes
• Contribute to a supportive teamwork environment, engaging thoughtfully in call rotations
• Educate patients and their families, ensuring understanding of care steps and post-discharge instructions
