An exciting opportunity awaits experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses seeking a dynamic contract assignment. This role offers the chance to deliver high-acuity care in a 71-bed, Level II Trauma environment that functions at near Level I standards.
Schedule:
- 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM shifts
- Rotating weekends required (every other weekend or 4 weekend days per month for block schedules)
- 4-week scheduling cycles
- No on-call; holiday rotations required per facility policy
Desired Qualifications:
- Current RN license
- At least 2 years of recent critical care experience (ICU, ER, or MS hold), with the most recent year in a Level II ER
- Familiarity with Cerner or Epic EMR systems strongly preferred
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, Secure/CPI (JACHO accepted), NIHSS, and TNCC
- Proficiency in advanced skills including trach and vent care, ICU drips, chest tubes, art lines, central lines, PICC, midline, ports, Foley, orthopedic device application, BiPAP/HiFlow, and continuous bladder irrigation
Key Responsibilities:
- Care for diverse and complex patient populations: multi-system trauma, STEMI, stroke, cardiac, respiratory, GI/GU, OB/GYN, pediatrics, and psychiatric
- Manage patient ratios: 1:4 ER, 1:5 MS holds, 1:3 ICU holds
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including CNAs, unit secretaries, charge nurses, hospitalists, and a dedicated IV team
- Utilize Cerner EMR, Plum 360 pumps, Omnicell dispensing, and Spacelabs monitors
- Participate in classroom and unit orientation to ensure readiness
