Step into an engaging RN First Assist opportunity within a dynamic surgical setting. This contract role is ideal for an experienced RN First Assist professional ready to make a meaningful impact within a collaborative team, supporting patient care throughout perioperative services.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 18-week contract
  • Four 10-hour day shifts: 6:30 am – 5:00 pm
  • Weekday call coverage required at least one day a week, extending shifts until 11 pm
  • At least one continuous weekend call per six-week period (Friday-Monday, beginning 6:30 am)

Qualifications:

  • Valid and current California RN license
  • Minimum of two years’ RN First Assist experience
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and surgical assistance skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert assistance to surgeons during operative procedures, ensuring optimal patient safety and flow
  • Support preoperative preparations and postoperative care, promoting efficiency and positive outcomes
  • Adhere to strict infection control and patient safety protocols
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver seamless care throughout all phases of surgery
  • Respond with flexibility to on-call requirements and adapt to emergent changes in surgical schedules
