Stepping into this pivotal surgical support role, you’ll be integral in assisting surgeons during a variety of procedures. Your knowledge and technical ability will ensure safe, efficient operations and optimal patient outcomes, fostering your growth in high-acuity surgical environments.

Schedule/Hours:

• Travel position with flexible assignment durations
• Potential for variable shifts based on surgical scheduling

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and organize sterile supplies, equipment, and instruments for surgeries
• Position patients to ensure their safety and comfort
• Provide intraoperative assistance with exposure, hemostasis, closure, wound dressing, and drainage systems
• Utilize and maintain surgical tools—including tourniquets, electrocautery, and endoscopy equipment
• Collaborate with the surgical team to optimize efficiency and safety throughout cases
• Consistently uphold hospital policies, standards, and patient confidentiality
• Take on additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Wisconsin
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Completion of accredited RN First Assistant (RNFA) program or equivalent
• BLS certification (within 6 months of hire)
• 1+ years’ experience in surgery/operating room preferred
• Detail-oriented with superb organizational skills

$2,001 - $2,189/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
