Step into a pivotal clinical role as a Registered Nurse First Assist, providing expert support in the operating room. This contract position offers the opportunity to work directly alongside surgeons and surgical teams, ensuring the highest standards of patient care throughout perioperative procedures.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current, unencumbered RN license required
  • Certification as a First Assist (CRNFA) or documented RNFA training
  • BLS and ACLS certifications current and maintained throughout employment
  • Recent experience practicing as an RN First Assist in a surgical setting
  • Exceptional knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical instrumentation
  • Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgeons intraoperatively, providing skilled suturing, tissue handling, exposure, and hemostasis
  • Prepare surgical suites and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are available and functioning
  • Collaborate with surgical team to maintain a safe, compliant environment
  • Preoperative assessment, patient education, and post-operative evaluation as needed
  • Advocate for patient safety and comfort throughout every phase of care
  • Document all actions and patient responses accurately according to best practices and facility policies

$3,370 - $3,686/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
