Key Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license with First Assist certification.
• Proven experience as an RN First Assist in operating room settings.
• In-depth understanding of sterile technique, surgical instruments, and procedures.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
• BLS and ACLS certifications (current and valid).
• Ability to assess intraoperative patient needs and act promptly.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Function as the primary RN First Assist during surgical procedures, supporting surgeons in a variety of specialties.
• Provide expert assistance in tissue handling, wound closure, and operative site visualization.
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery, ensuring optimal outcomes and safety.
• Maintain strict adherence to established aseptic techniques and regulatory guidelines.
• Document perioperative care accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff to create a seamless surgical experience.
