In this role, you’ll sharpen your expertise as a Registered Nurse First Assistant by working alongside a variety of surgical teams. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the surgical team to prepare and organize supplies, instruments, equipment, and drapes for each procedure
• Position patients safely to ensure optimal surgical access and patient security
• Assist surgeons with visualization, exposure, hemostasis, and wound closure using current RNFA techniques
• Apply appropriate wound dressings and assist with the insertion and securing of drainage systems
• Employ surgical equipment—including pneumatic tourniquets, electrocautery, and endoscopic instruments—safely and effectively
• Maintain aseptic technique and participate in ongoing quality assurance
• Perform other assigned duties in support of surgical cases

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Wisconsin
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Completion of an accredited RN First Assistant (RNFA) program or other recognized first-assisting program
• BLS certification (within 6 months of hire)
• 1+ years of operating room or surgical experience preferred
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
