As a Registered Nurse First Assistant, you will play a vital part in surgical excellence, supporting the surgical team and ensuring superior patient care under the direct supervision of the surgeon.

Schedule/Hours:

• Travel assignment

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and organize sterile supplies, instruments, equipment, and drapes for procedures.
• Work closely with the surgical team to position patients safely for operations.
• Provide exceptional visualization and assist with hemostasis throughout surgical procedures.
• Skillfully support closure of body planes and apply appropriate wound dressings.
• Insert and secure drainage systems, ensuring proper tissue integration.
• Utilize surgical equipment and supplies—including pneumatic tourniquets, electrocautery, and endoscopy tools—safely and efficiently.
• Take on additional duties as requested, supporting optimal surgical outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Completion of an accredited RN First Assistant (RNFA) program or comparable first-assisting education.
• BLS certification (must obtain within 6 months of hire).
• At least one year of operating room/surgical experience preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

$2,001 - $2,189/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
