Qualifications and Experience:
- Active RN licensure in California required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Acute care facility experience preferred
- Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and communication abilities
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract position; specific schedule details provided during hiring process
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver coordinated, holistic nursing care for ICU patients, adhering to established protocols and the nursing process
- Collect and analyze patient data to assess health conditions, inform diagnoses, and direct care plans
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Work collaboratively with physicians, patients, families, and the entire healthcare team to ensure safe, humane, and effective care
- Supervise and delegate responsibilities to nursing staff and support personnel as appropriate
- Engage in patient and family education activities, promoting health literacy and continuity of care
- Contribute to discharge planning, ensuring seamless transitions across care settings
- Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives as assigned
