Critical Care Nurse in Antioch, TN

Step into a dynamic Intensive Care Unit renowned for its commitment to patient care and staff support. This contract assignment offers the opportunity to work in a 16-bed ICU with a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, supported by dedicated techs and unit secretaries. The facility features advanced equipment such as GE monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis medication dispensing, Dräger ventilators, and the Meditech documentation platform.

Schedule/Hours:

• Rotating schedule with every other weekend required
• Floating in rotation with full-time staff and travelers

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license with ICU experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong skills in ventilator and sedation management, and medication titration
• Experience with trach placements, bronchoscopies, and cardioversions
• Positive attitude, teamwork orientation, and strong problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in AIDET communication and patient education
• Ability to complete and maintain communication boards

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, high-acuity care for critically ill patients
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition using advanced technology
• Administer and titrate medications as ordered
• Collaborate with clinicians and support staff to achieve optimal outcomes
• Participate in patient education and ensure thorough documentation
• Maintain compliance with trauma level III standards and unit policies
• Float as needed within ICU and aligned departments
