Critical Care Registered Nurse - Arcata, California

Schedule:

• Night shifts: 7:00pm – 7:30am
• 3 shifts per week (36 hours weekly)
• Contract role

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted California RN license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Proof of a negative TB screen completed within 12 months prior to contract start date

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver critical care to patients in the ICU, ensuring the highest standards of safety and compassion
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assess patient responses
• Collaborate seamlessly with physicians and the healthcare team to plan and implement patient care
• Educate patients and families regarding condition and care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes precisely in the patient record
• Respond swiftly to emergencies and adapt to rapidly changing situations
