ICU RN - Aurora, Colorado

This contract opportunity calls for an experienced ICU RN ready to deliver impactful care alongside a seasoned, supportive staff. With a spacious, modern setting—including a recent 12-bed expansion—the unit accommodates 28 beds total across two pods. ICU RNs here benefit from working with state-of-the-art technology such as Pyxis, Plum Pump IVs, GE bedside monitors, Nelcor, Artic Sun, and Sub Zero systems, as well as utilizing the Meditech EMR platform.

Schedule:

• Night shifts: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Critical care tech support available six days a week, 0900–2100

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with recent ICU experience (medical, surgical, neuro, or trauma ICU)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Candidates with TNCC and at least 2 years ICU experience given strong preference
• Adaptability, positivity, and a collaborative work style

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-level nursing care to critical patients, including neuro-surgical, trauma, cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, substance withdrawal, and vented cases
• Effectively manage patient ratios that flex based on acuity (commonly 1:2, sometimes 1:1 or 1:3)
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams—including 24/7 intensivist coverage—ensuring exceptional patient outcomes
• Uphold unit policies, protocols, and patient-centric philosophies
