Intensive Care RN | Aurora, Colorado

Exceptional nursing professionals with a strong ICU background are invited to bring their expertise to a dynamic intensive care unit. This contract opportunity provides exposure to both cutting-edge technology and a team with a deep commitment to patient-centered care. The unit features a recent expansion—now offering capacity for 28 beds across two pods—serving a diverse patient population including neuro-surgical, trauma, cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, detox, and vented patients. Support is provided by experienced intensivists available onsite around the clock.

Schedule/Hours:

• 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM (night shifts)

Required Qualifications:

• Current RN license with experience in intensive care settings (medical, surgical, neuro, or trauma ICU)
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications
• Flexibility and a collaborative approach to patient care

Preferred Experience:

• TNCC certification
• Two years or more of recent ICU nursing experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients with varying acuity levels, typically maintaining a 1:2 ratio
• Utilize state-of-the-art equipment, including Pyxis, Plum Pump IVs, GE bedside monitors, Artic Sun, and Sub Zero
• Document patient care using Meditech electronic medical records
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including critical care techs available 6 days per week
• Participate in ongoing professional development and embrace continuous improvement
