Critical Care Registered Nurse | Black Hawk, South Dakota

Experienced Registered Nurses with a background in ICU care are sought for several opportunities in a dynamic clinical setting. This contract position offers a chance to deliver high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced critical care environment. Multiple openings are available, with the majority of scheduling on 12-hour night shifts in the Intensive Care Unit. Some day shifts are also available in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU).

Schedule:

• Predominantly 12-hour night shifts for ICU
• Some day shifts available in PCU

Qualifications:

• Active South Dakota RN license or a current compact/multistate RN license
• Proven experience providing nursing care in ICU settings
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to new team environments and patient needs
• BLS and ACLS certifications required

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care to critically ill adults in the ICU, consistently following nursing best practices and facility protocols
• Monitor, evaluate, and record patient changes, reporting significant information to physicians and collaborating care providers
• Administer medications, perform interventions, and operate critical care equipment safely and accurately
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient care records
• Support and mentor new or less experienced staff as needed
