ICU RN - Box Elder, South Dakota

Exceptional opportunities are available for skilled Registered Nurses with ICU experience to provide critical care in a dynamic hospital environment. This contract role primarily covers 12-hour night shifts within the Intensive Care Unit, with a few Progressive Care Unit (PCU) day shifts also available.

Schedule:

• Mostly 12-hour night shifts in the ICU
• Some day shifts in the PCU may be available

Qualifications:

• Current, active South Dakota RN license or a compact/multistate RN license is required
• Proven experience working in the ICU; strong understanding of critical care protocols is essential
• Flexibility to adapt to either ICU night shifts or PCU day shifts as needed
• Excellent assessment, communication, and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations with calm and professionalism
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; other certifications (such as CCRN) are a plus
• Previous travel or contract assignment experience is helpful, but not required

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill adult patients
• Continuously assess, monitor, and respond to changing patient conditions
• Communicate effectively with physicians and team members for coordinated care
• Document patient information accurately and promptly in the medical record
• Provide patient and family education, support, and advocacy during hospitalization
• Adhere to all facility safety standards, policies, and nursing best practices
