Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse - Cedartown, GA

Experienced critical care nurses will thrive in this dynamic Intensive Care Unit environment supporting a wide range of high acuity patients. This contract role is ideal for those with robust ICU skills who can adapt quickly and deliver expert care across multiple hospital areas.

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour night shift (19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Must be available for 70% of holidays
• Occasional on-call, on a rare, as-needed basis when patient census is low

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• Demonstrated recent experience in ICU settings
• Proficiency with critical care protocols, including ventilator management, cardiac monitoring, and rapid response
• Flexibility to float to all med-surg and critical care units, including ED boarders
• Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and critical thinking skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and compassionate nursing care to critically ill patients
• Respond adeptly to changes in patient conditions and coordinate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and compliance standards
• Provide support in both ICU and other units as staffing or census requires
• Participate in maintaining a safe, therapeutic, and respectful environment for patients and families
