Key Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of recent ICU experience in a hospital or acute care setting
- Advanced knowledge of critical care protocols, patient monitoring, ventilator management, and cardiac medications
- Certifications in BLS and ACLS
- Effective communication abilities and a compassionate approach to critically ill patients and their families
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to thrive under pressure
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to patients in the intensive care unit, following evidence-based practices and hospital guidelines
- Assess, monitor, and manage patients with complex medical conditions, utilizing advanced clinical skills and technology
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Administer and monitor IV fluids, medications, ventilator settings, and vital signs
- Document all care, observations, and clinical interventions accurately in electronic medical records
- Provide emotional support and education to patients’ families regarding treatment plans and prognosis
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory policies in the ICU environment
