Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active RN license with eligibility to practice in Illinois
  • Previous experience in an ICU or critical care setting required
  • Proficiency in managing ventilators, monitoring vital signs, and administering complex medication regimens
  • Demonstrated ability to respond swiftly in emergency situations
  • ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience with electronic medical records preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients, monitoring and assessing their condition continuously
  • Administer prescribed medications, including IV drips, and perform or assist with procedures as required
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and specialists to provide coordinated, patient-centered care
  • Accurately document patient information, interventions, and responses in electronic records
  • Act as a primary resource for patients and families, offering education and emotional support during challenging circumstances
  • Maintain strict adherence to all hospital safety, infection control, and confidentiality protocols
