Qualifications and Experience:
- Active RN license with eligibility to practice in Illinois
- Previous experience in an ICU or critical care setting required
- Proficiency in managing ventilators, monitoring vital signs, and administering complex medication regimens
- Demonstrated ability to respond swiftly in emergency situations
- ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Experience with electronic medical records preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients, monitoring and assessing their condition continuously
- Administer prescribed medications, including IV drips, and perform or assist with procedures as required
- Collaborate closely with physicians and specialists to provide coordinated, patient-centered care
- Accurately document patient information, interventions, and responses in electronic records
- Act as a primary resource for patients and families, offering education and emotional support during challenging circumstances
- Maintain strict adherence to all hospital safety, infection control, and confidentiality protocols
