Take the next step in your nursing career with an opportunity in a 19-bed Neurosurgical ICU. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who are passionate about delivering exceptional care to patients with acute neurological needs, including stroke, SAH, seizures, and complex post-surgical recovery. You’ll work closely with a skilled medical team, utilizing advanced technology and supporting some of the most critical and rewarding cases in neurological care.

Schedule

  • Weekend block: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights (straight weekend block)
  • Contract position

Qualifications

  • Current RN license with good standing
  • Minimum of 1 year Neuro ICU experience required
  • Strong proficiency in invasive intracranial pressure monitoring, frequent neuro assessment, and hemodynamic monitoring
  • Experience with routine CT, MRI, and Angiography procedures
  • Comfortable managing 2–3 patients concurrently in a high-acuity setting
  • Flexibility to float to other ICU or step-down units as needed

Responsibilities

  • Provide critical care nursing to patients with acute neurological conditions
  • Perform regular neurological and hemodynamic monitoring, escalating findings appropriately
  • Care for post-surgical patients requiring complex assessments and intervention
  • Operate and troubleshoot advanced monitoring technology and assist with procedures
  • Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold the highest standards of patient safety and privacy
