Qualifications:
- Active RN license, eligible to practice without restrictions
- Minimum of 1 year recent ICU experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel status
- Ability to collaborate effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Competence in using EMR systems and adhering to Joint Commission standards
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for critically ill patients
- Respond promptly to patient status changes and provide rapid stabilization
- Administer medications, infusions, and advanced therapies accurately
- Monitor vital signs, lab results, and ventilator settings, intervening as necessary
- Communicate clearly with physicians, patients, and families regarding care plans
- Document all interventions, observations, and patient responses precisely
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment while adhering to hospital protocols
- Support quality improvement initiatives within the ICU
