A healthcare opportunity is available for a registered nurse with specialized neuro ICU experience. This contract role focuses on providing expert care in a demanding Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit environment.

Role Overview:
This position involves caring for patients in a 19-bed Neurosurgical ICU, managing cases such as acute stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, seizures, and post-surgical recovery. Responsibilities include monitoring invasive intracranial pressure, conducting frequent neurological assessments, hemodynamic monitoring, and coordinating routine imaging like CT, MRI, and angiography. Patient assignments average 2-3:1, with occasional floating to other ICUs or step-down units.

Schedule:

• Weekend block shift
• Friday, Saturday, Sunday nights

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current RN licensure
• Experience in Neuro ICU nursing essential
• Ability to perform comprehensive neurological assessments and monitor complex neurosurgical patients
• Comfort with a fast-paced critical care setting and flexible to float as needed

Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert nursing care for critically ill neurosurgical patients
• Maintain close monitoring of intracranial pressure and hemodynamics
