Serving as a Registered Nurse in the ICU, you’ll work on the frontline of critical care, gaining exposure to a variety of workplace practices and leadership perspectives. Role Responsibilities:
- Complete independent nursing and delegated medical tasks in compliance with state Board of Nursing standards
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive nursing care for diverse patient populations
- Collect and assess health data on an ongoing basis to determine patient status
- Educate and counsel patients and families on health promotion and restoration
- Deliver supportive and restorative life-saving therapy and treatments
- Consult, delegate, supervise, and teach others as needed within the healthcare team
- Carry out delegated medical functions and refer patients for further care when indicated
- Review, monitor, and update therapy or treatment plans as patient condition evolves
- Accurately document all interventions in compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Utilize available resources efficiently while maintaining high standards of care
- Float between departments or be on-call as required based on operational needs
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license in the appropriate state
- Recent clinical experience in ICU or critical care settings
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
