Intensive Care RN | Eureka, California

Embark on a dynamic assignment caring for patients in a busy Intensive Care Unit. This contract opportunity is tailored for registered nurses with a strong ICU background who thrive in fast-paced environments and possess excellent critical care skills.

Schedule:

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week
• 7:00 pm – 7:30 am
• 36 hours per week guaranteed

Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered California RN license
• Previous experience working as an ICU RN
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Recent negative TB screen (within 12 months of assignment start)
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Adaptable, with the ability to manage evolving patient situations

Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to interventions
• Coordinate and implement physician orders and care plans collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team
• Administer medications, manage advanced equipment, and support patients on ventilators or critical drips
• Support patients’ families with regular updates, education, and emotional reassurance
• Adhere to all facility protocols, safety standards, and best practices
