Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse in Fortuna, CA

Schedule:

• 3x12-hour night shifts per week
• 7:00 pm – 7:30 am
• 36 hours/week guaranteed

Required Qualifications:

• Current and active RN license issued by the State of California
• Minimum of one year’s experience in ICU nursing
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Proof of a negative TB screen dated within 12 months of contract start
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to respond effectively in high-stress situations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, quality care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatments
• Administer medications and manage complex medical equipment
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive care plans
• Communicate promptly with patients and their families, providing education and support as needed
• Adhere to established clinical protocols and safety standards at all times
