Schedule:
- Night shift: 4x8-hour shifts (23:00 – 07:30)
- No on-call required
- Weekend rotation included
- Floating to other units as needed
Qualifications:
- Current California RN license
- BLS certification (AHA)
- ACLS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Minimum of 3 years of ICU nursing experience (4 years preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to respond swiftly and effectively in critical situations
- Strong communication, assessment, and clinical skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care and monitoring in the ICU, ensuring adherence to best practices
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care and execute physician orders
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses
- Utilize advanced clinical judgment to identify and respond to changes in patient conditions
- Educate patients and families on treatments, procedures, and ongoing care plans
- Assist with admitting, transferring, and discharging critically ill patients as needed
- Float to other units based on facility needs, adapting efficiently to new environments
