Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse in Hayward, CA

Schedule:

• Night shifts: 4x8 hours (23:00 – 07:30)
• Weekend rotation required
• No on-call duties
• Floating to other units as needed

Qualifications:

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Minimum of 3 years of recent ICU nursing experience (4 years preferred)
• Strong assessment and quick decision-making skills
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide high-level care to critically ill patients, ensuring safety and adherence to best practices
• Utilize advanced clinical skills in monitoring, assessment, medication administration, and interventions specific to intensive care
• Document patient status and interventions accurately and promptly in electronic medical records
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other health professionals for comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients and their families on care procedures and ongoing progress
• Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Flexibly float to additional units as needed to support patient care needs across the hospital
