Seeking a highly skilled RN with ICU expertise for a contract position providing exceptional patient care during overnight shifts. This role involves working in a dynamic and supportive critical care environment, ensuring best practices are met for every patient.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 4x8-hour night shifts
  • 23:00 – 07:30
  • Weekend rotation required
  • Floating to other units as needed

Qualifications:

  • Active California RN license (required)
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • ACLS certification
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent ICU nursing experience; 4 years preferred
  • Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting
  • Perform continuous monitoring and evaluate changes in patient condition with timely interventions
  • Administer medications, ICU therapies, and advanced monitoring technologies according to care plans
  • Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and patient families to ensure coordinated, optimal care
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and participate in code blue events as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record system
  • Support a culture of safety, advocacy, and respect for patient rights
  • Float to other critical care units as required, adapting to different team dynamics and patient populations
