Travel Critical Care Nurse in Kansas City, KS

Schedule/Hours

• 12-hour night shifts: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• 3 shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements; holiday coverage based on unit needs

Qualifications

• Active KS RN or Compact RN License
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years recent ICU/Critical Care experience
• Proven proficiency with balloon pumps, CRRT, Impella, open-heart patients (required for nights), and performing own labs and consults
• Comfortable conducting independent codes
• Experience with PICC lines; no vascular access team support

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care on a mixed critical care unit (neuro, spine, cardiac, medical, and surgical)
• Maintain a 2:1 nurse/patient ratio for critical patients (flex up to 3:1)
• Float to PCU/CCU and inpatient units (med/surg, med/tele, acute/tele, ED as needed)
• Participate fully in orientation, including unit- and facility-specific training
