Schedule/Hours
- 12-hour night shifts: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- 3 shifts per week
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements; holiday coverage based on unit needs
Qualifications
- Active KS RN or Compact RN License
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years recent ICU/Critical Care experience
- Proven proficiency with balloon pumps, CRRT, Impella, open-heart patients (required for nights), and performing own labs and consults
- Comfortable conducting independent codes
- Experience with PICC lines; no vascular access team support
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care on a mixed critical care unit (neuro, spine, cardiac, medical, and surgical)
- Maintain a 2:1 nurse/patient ratio for critical patients (flex up to 3:1)
- Float to PCU/CCU and inpatient units (med/surg, med/tele, acute/tele, ED as needed)
- Participate fully in orientation, including unit- and facility-specific training
