Schedule/Hours:
- Night shifts: 7:00 pm – 7:30 am
- Every third weekend required
Key Qualifications:
- Current RN license, valid for Iowa
- At least one year of ICU nursing experience preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong communication and critical thinking abilities
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
- Flexibility to excel on night shifts and weekends
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
- Monitor vital signs and respond swiftly to emergent situations
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff
- Educate patients and families on care plans and post-ICU recovery
- Accurately document assessments, procedures, and patient progress
- Uphold strict infection control and safety protocols
