Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse in Lorain, OH

Provide specialized nursing care in a demanding Neurosurgical ICU environment focused on acute stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), seizures, and post-surgical patients. This contract position is based in Lorain, OH, offering the opportunity to apply your expertise in neurocritical care.

Responsibilities include managing a 19-bed unit that provides care for patients requiring invasive intracranial pressure monitoring, frequent neurological assessments, hemodynamic monitoring, and coordination of routine CT, MRI, and angiography procedures. Patient assignments follow a 2-3:1 ratio, and flexibility to float to other ICUs or Step Down units may be necessary. The schedule is a Weekend Block, working every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with current credentials
• Proven Neuro ICU experience with knowledge of neurological assessments and invasive monitoring
• Strong ability to manage critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment
• Competency in hemodynamic monitoring and familiarity with diagnostic imaging protocols
• Adaptability to float between different ICU and Step Down units as needed
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
