Qualifications:

  • Current, unencumbered RN license
  • Minimum of one year of recent ICU experience
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • Proven ability to handle complex patient care, prioritize, and multi-task efficiently
  • Exceptional communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient and family interactions
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and ICU-specific equipment strongly preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct, specialized nursing care to critically ill patients, closely monitoring vital signs and adjusting care plans as needed
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive patient management
  • Administer medications, blood products, and therapies according to established protocols
  • Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
  • Maintain accurate, thorough documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes
  • Uphold best practices in infection control, safety, and patient advocacy within the ICU setting
