This contract nursing role involves assignments in ICU, Cardiac Stepdown, and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) settings, providing high-level care to individuals facing acute and complex medical conditions.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience in ICU, Cardiac Stepdown, or PCU environments
- Advanced knowledge of cardiac and critical care protocols
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment, triage, and clinical decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication skills and team collaboration
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care, monitoring critically ill and cardiac patients
- Accurately interpret ECGs, administer medications, and respond to emergent situations
- Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to formulate and implement patient care plans
- Consistently document patient assessments and progress with keen attention to detail
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and ongoing care needs
- Proactively participate in quality improvement initiatives within the unit
