Travel Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse - Northport, AL

This travel nursing opportunity provides exposure to advanced cardiac care, collaboration with dynamic interdisciplinary teams, and experience floating across multiple units and facilities—ensuring each day brings fresh learning and challenges. The high-acuity, 8-bed CICU treats patients requiring advanced monitoring and interventions following procedures or critical events. Schedule/Hours:

• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Expect to work holidays as needed
• Every other weekend required

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Associate’s degree in Nursing
• Active RN license in Alabama or compact state (no temp licenses)
• Required Certifications: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, AHA NIH (or Red Cross equivalent)
• Preferred: PALS (if working in a pediatric unit)
• Minimum 2 years’ nursing experience strongly preferred; applicants with 18 months’ experience and at least 1 year of recent CICU specialty experience will be considered

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-level nursing care to adult cardiac patients
• Assist patients transitioning from Cath Lab, ED, and acute care areas
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive patient outcomes
• Float to other units and hospitals as needed
