This contract opportunity calls for an experienced RN to provide comprehensive support to acutely ill patients and their families. Utilize your clinical expertise in a high-acuity environment alongside a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Schedule/Hours:
- 4x8-hour shifts, PM/Night (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Rotating weekends required
- No on-call commitment
- Floating to units as needed
Qualifications:
- Current California RN license
- BLS certification from AHA
- ACLS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Minimum three (3) years of recent ICU nursing experience (four years preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized nursing care to critically ill patients, adhering to ICU protocols
- Monitor, assess, and promptly respond to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and support staff to ensure coordinated care
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress
- Provide patient and family education, advocating for patient needs and comfort
- Maintain compliance with professional standards and facility guidelines
- Flexibility to float between units as patient census requires
