Intensive Care RN | Oakland, California

Advance your career in critical care nursing by delivering exceptional patient care in a dynamic Intensive Care Unit. This contract opportunity calls for an experienced RN to provide comprehensive support to acutely ill patients and their families. Utilize your clinical expertise in a high-acuity environment alongside a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Schedule/Hours:

• 4x8-hour shifts, PM/Night (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Rotating weekends required
• No on-call commitment
• Floating to units as needed

Qualifications:

• Current California RN license
• BLS certification from AHA
• ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Minimum three (3) years of recent ICU nursing experience (four years preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized nursing care to critically ill patients, adhering to ICU protocols
• Monitor, assess, and promptly respond to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and support staff to ensure coordinated care
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress
• Provide patient and family education, advocating for patient needs and comfort
• Maintain compliance with professional standards and facility guidelines
• Flexibility to float between units as patient census requires
