Deliver advanced nursing care in a dynamic ICU setting, utilizing expertise to make a meaningful difference for patients and families. As an RN in critical care, you will use evidence-based practice and the nursing process to ensure safe, high-quality treatment for critically ill patients.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position; schedules align with critical care unit needs and may include rotating shifts.

Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted state RN license.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • At least one year of recent staff RN experience in an acute care hospital, specifically in critical care.
  • CCRN certification highly preferred.
  • COVID-19 vaccination and boosters preferred.
  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR system preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for ICU patients, adapting to frequently changing conditions.
  • Deliver direct patient care within your professional scope, maintaining the highest standards of practice and patient safety.
  • Communicate consistently with physicians regarding patient status, including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic results, and any changes in symptomatology.
  • Direct patient and family education, ensuring understanding of diagnoses, procedures, and therapeutic plans.
  • Guide and mentor other nursing personnel, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.
  • Protect patient privacy and uphold confidentiality at every step.
  • Respond swiftly and accurately to medical emergencies, changes in condition, and new interventions.
