Specializing in critical care nursing, this position places you in a reputable facility with a progressive approach to patient care. This is the perfect role for ambitious RNs eager to build their experience with post-stroke care, advanced cardiac drips, and ventilator management.
Schedule/Hours:
- 36 guaranteed hours per week (three 12-hour night shifts)
- Block scheduling considered upon request
- Weekend shifts as needed
- No call requirements
Key Qualifications:
- Valid RN licensure with the Missouri State Board of Nursing or temporary Missouri RN work permit
- Current ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card required or must obtain during probationary period)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
- Expertise in post-stroke care, cardiac drips (Nitro, Cardizem, Amio, Esmolol), BiPAPs, Airvos, ventilated compressors, and early identification of patient deterioration
- Willingness to float to Med Surg and Telemetry units
- Preferred: Skilled in medical calculations
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered care for medical, basic cardiac, and neuro ICU patients (average 2-3:1 ratio)
- Titrate cardiac drips and manage advanced respiratory equipment
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams
- Adhere to black professional scrub dress code
