Critical Care Nurse in Paterson, NJ

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license (required)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking)

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive and systematic patient assessments across all ages.
• Deliver expert, hands-on care aligned with the needs of a high-acuity stepdown unit, demonstrating advanced skill in emergency equipment and procedures.
• Maintain meticulous and complete documentation of patient care, including educational interventions and progress toward clinical goals.
• Consistently uphold professionalism, adhering to all policies and procedures while identifying opportunities for continuous growth.
• Support patient safety by following National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Protocol, and using proper initiatives for patient identification and transfer.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure family-centered care and drive patient satisfaction.
• Customize perioperative care in coordination with specific diagnoses, procedures, and anesthesia protocols.
• Provide robust pre- and post-operative assessments, education, and documentation to promote clarity and continuity of care.
• Assist with Pre Admission Testing (PAT), ensuring all procedures align with patient needs and best practices.
