Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse in Piedmont, SD

Schedule/Hours:

• Primarily 12-hour night shifts in the ICU
• Some PCU day shifts available

Qualifications:

• Active South Dakota RN license or eligible compact/multistate license
• At least one year of recent ICU nursing experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of intensive care protocols and emergency response procedures
• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in ICU and, occasionally, to progressive care unit patients
• Monitor, assess, and promptly respond to changes in patient status
• Operate and troubleshoot advanced life-support and monitoring equipment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and consistency of care
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and care expectations
• Accurately chart patient observations, interventions, and progress
• Adhere strictly to infection control practices and patient safety standards
