Intensive Care RN | Rapid City, South Dakota

This role offers the opportunity to work primarily 12-hour night shifts in the Intensive Care Unit, with limited openings for day shifts in Progressive Care. Schedule/Hours:

• Majority of shifts are 12-hour nights (ICU)
• Some day shifts available (PCU)
• Contract position

Qualifications:

• Valid and active South Dakota Registered Nurse license or eligibility via compact/multistate license
• At least one year of recent experience working as an RN in an ICU or critical care setting
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and multi-tasking abilities in high-acuity environments
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert nursing care to adult ICU and PCU patients, adhering to evidence-based protocols
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records
• Support patients and families with clear information and compassionate care
• Work closely with physicians and allied health professionals to optimize patient recovery and outcomes
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and respectful clinical environment
