Step into a vital nursing role supporting patients with critical care needs in a dynamic hospital setting. In this contract opportunity, your expertise in intensive care will have a direct impact on patient outcomes during challenging circumstances.

Schedule & Shift Details:

  • 12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:00)
  • Every other weekend rotation
  • 70% of holidays required
  • Occasional on-call, only if census is low (rare)
  • Contract position

Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

  • Current RN license with strong experience in ICU nursing
  • Proficiency managing complex, critically ill patients
  • Ability to float confidently to all medical-surgical and critical care areas, including Emergency Department boarders
  • Adept at communicating and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to support care across units as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adults in the ICU
  • Monitor, document, and respond to changing patient needs promptly
  • Effectively communicate with physicians and other care team members
  • Float to medical-surgical, general critical care, and emergency units when required
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation in electronic health records
  • Uphold rigorous infection control and patient safety standards
