Intensive Care RN | San Francisco, California

Step into a vital role delivering high-level care to patients in a dynamic ICU environment. This is a contract opportunity for a Registered Nurse with strong critical care experience. You will work night shifts as part of a dedicated healthcare team, providing hands-on support and expert clinical judgment to critically ill individuals.

Schedule/Hours:

• Shift: 4x8s PM (23:00 – 07:30)
• Night shifts only
• No on call required
• Weekend rotation required
• Floating to other units as needed

Qualifications:

• Active California RN license
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Minimum 3 years’ recent ICU nursing experience (4 years preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform complex assessments, ongoing monitoring, and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions in the ICU
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Float between units as needed, maintaining flexibility and clinical excellence
• Document thoroughly and accurately in the electronic medical record system
• Participate in weekend rotations per facility requirements
• Communicate respectfully and effectively with patients, families, and team members
