A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in intensive care. The position features a night shift schedule of 4x8-hour shifts, working from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a weekend rotation included. Floating to other units may be required based on patient needs.

Qualifications:

  • Active California RN license
  • BLS certification (AHA)
  • ACLS certification
  • NIHSS certification
  • At least 3 years of recent experience in an ICU setting (4 years preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU, closely monitoring vitals and promptly responding to changes in patient condition
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement patient care plans
  • Administer prescribed medications, manage IVs, and review laboratory results to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Accurately document patient information, interventions, and responses in the medical record
  • Support patients and families through compassionate communication and education, helping them understand treatment and recovery processes
  • Maintain strict adherence to infection control procedures and hospital protocols
  • Flexibly float to other units as needed to support overall patient care within the hospital
