Experienced critical care nurses are invited to provide essential bedside care in a dynamic ICU setting. This contract-based opportunity calls for professionals ready to excel on night shifts, ensuring top-quality care for high-acuity patients.
Schedule/Hours:
- Night shifts: 4x8-hour (23:00 – 07:30)
- Weekend rotation required
- No on-call duty
- Occasional floating to other units as needed
Key Qualifications:
- Active California RN license
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- ACLS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- At least 3 years of recent experience in a hospital ICU; 4 years strongly preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and sound patient assessment skills
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care for critically ill adult patients, including assessments, implementing physician orders, documenting interventions, and evaluating outcomes
- Monitor and manage invasive/non-invasive lines and ventilators
- Triage, prioritize, and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition
- Communicate consistently with physicians, multidisciplinary teams, and families to promote coordinated care
- Rotate through weekend shifts as part of a dedicated ICU team
- Maintain strict compliance with safety protocols, hospital policies, and regulatory standards
- Provide support and guidance to less-experienced team members when required
