Experienced critical care nurses are invited to provide essential bedside care in a dynamic ICU setting. This contract-based opportunity calls for professionals ready to excel on night shifts, ensuring top-quality care for high-acuity patients.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Night shifts: 4x8-hour (23:00 – 07:30)
  • Weekend rotation required
  • No on-call duty
  • Occasional floating to other units as needed

Key Qualifications:

  • Active California RN license
  • Current BLS certification (AHA)
  • ACLS certification
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • At least 3 years of recent experience in a hospital ICU; 4 years strongly preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and sound patient assessment skills
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care for critically ill adult patients, including assessments, implementing physician orders, documenting interventions, and evaluating outcomes
  • Monitor and manage invasive/non-invasive lines and ventilators
  • Triage, prioritize, and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition
  • Communicate consistently with physicians, multidisciplinary teams, and families to promote coordinated care
  • Rotate through weekend shifts as part of a dedicated ICU team
  • Maintain strict compliance with safety protocols, hospital policies, and regulatory standards
  • Provide support and guidance to less-experienced team members when required
