Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care for critically ill adults using evidence-based practices.
- Monitor, assess, and document vital signs, patient conditions, and response to interventions.
- Administer medications, treatments, and advanced therapies as prescribed.
- Operate and troubleshoot specialized equipment such as ventilators and infusion pumps.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the care team on care plans and emergency interventions.
- Communicate clearly with patients’ families, providing education and support.
- Adhere to strict safety guidelines and infection control protocols.
- Participate in ongoing quality assurance and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Recent experience in an ICU setting (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required; BLS certification required.
- Demonstrated ability to handle critical situations with professionalism and composure.
- Comprehensive understanding of critical care procedures and terminology.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent assessment, prioritization, and clinical documentation skills.
