Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse - Summerville, GA

Deliver advanced patient care in a dynamic intensive care setting, providing critical support to individuals in need of specialized attention. This contract position requires a skilled RN with ICU experience to partner with multidisciplinary teams and deliver excellent outcomes in high-acuity environments.

Schedule:

• 12-hour night shifts (1900-0700)
• Every other weekend rotation
• 70% of major holidays required

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with experience in an ICU setting
• Strong clinical skills with a focus on continuous patient monitoring, assessment, and intervention
• Comfort with floating to Med Surg, Critical Care Areas, and caring for ED boarders as needed
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs and maintain high standards of care
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team approach

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and individualized nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Employ clinical judgment to track patient progress and initiate necessary interventions
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and manage complex clinical scenarios
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Remain flexible and support the facility by floating between ICU, Med Surg, and ED boarders as patient census requires
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold infection control and safety standards

Additional Details: If patient census is low, you may be rarely asked to be on call. This role requires flexibility and a willingness to cover variable clinical areas as needed.
