This travel nursing assignment provides rich exposure to collaborative, multidisciplinary teams caring for high-acuity adult cardiac patients. By engaging in a fast-paced cardiac environment that receives patients from diverse hospital departments such as Cath Lab, ED, and Acute Care, you'll experience professional growth and broaden your expertise in specialized cardiovascular care. Schedule/Hours:
- Flexible: 36 or 48 hours per week options
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
- Every other weekend; holidays required
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Associate degree in nursing (required)
- 2 years of RN experience preferred, but candidates with 18 months (including 1 recent year in specialty) considered
- Active Alabama RN or compact license (no temporary licenses)
- Required Certifications: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, AHA NIHSS or Red Cross equivalent
- PALS preferred if cross-training to pediatric units
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, safe, and compassionate care to adult patients in the CICU
- Closely monitor, assess, and respond to acute and complex cardiac needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams for comprehensive treatment
- Float across other specialty units as needed to support hospital operations
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and evidence-based protocols
